DJ Dub a.k.a. Jim’ll Mixit – Who the hell is he??

Hailing from deepest, darkest South London, (with a 15 year stint in the countryside) Dub has been on the London DJ scene for over a decade, rocking venues all over the big smoke, the rest of the UK and beyond. His sets are a dizzying blend of musical styles weaving their way from Hip Hop to House, Dubstep to Drum & Bass, Reggae to Rock, a rollercoaster ride through almost every genre of music you’ve ever heard of and a few he just made up. Dub runs his own night, Heads Up and is resident DJ at Baby Loves Disco
Dub has also dipped his toe into the murky waters of the DVJ, performing the now legendary DVJ set “Music To Drive Cars By” at the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix in 2006 and 2007.
Dub is also a music producer, check out his MySpace. Winner of ‘IDJ Mixtape Of The Month’ in June 2002 and finalist in DJ Idol 2007, he writes for We Luv Milk and has also written music, club and gig reviews for Hip Hop Connection and the Channel U website. Dub has also pioneered a series of DJ Tutorial Podcasts in conjunction i-Amplify. This follows on from the continued success of his DJ Tutoring courses created for clients such as the Prince’s Trust, providing DJ workshops for the Prince‚Äôs Trust Urban Music Festival in ‚Äô04 &‚Äô05, Lambeth Crime Prevention Trust, Southwark Youth Services and Connextions.

Hi Blogger, I’m starting a blog about making money while traveling abroad. I will be working as a “professional” blogger and freelance writer, and probably teach a little English as well. I have tried this twice, and failed (but have learned a lot), this time I will succeed! It will be called “A Broad Abroad” and it will be fun!
