Songs of praise 8th November 2009 with Paul Riley

Firstly, thanks to cubikmusik and guinnessdj for the offer to put together this mix. Being a fan of what Colin has been doing with the show over the past few months, the offer was a little bit daunting at first to be honest. I was unsure if anyone would be interested in my tastes but I guess everyone here just shares my passion for good music, regardless of genres, styles and boundaries.

I think this first show is quite representative of me and what to expect over the coming weeks; quite eclectic, one or two classics plus a few you might not instantly recognise, hopefully it flows quite well but I am certainly nothing technically special when mixing!

Just one or two more people who I need to thank from outside the twitter fam; Andre Friedrichs, whose links I always check on FB (I’ll play some post punk and krautrock soon for you) and to Emma who always inspires me and to whom I dedicate the last track to especially.
